The Meadow has bags and bags of personality and is putting a fresh spin on research, workshop and event spaces in Melbourne.

This venue is an example of thoughtful design at its best; the open plan format, modern interiors and fun splashes of colour throughout, paired with the 19th century architecture of the building creates a dynamic aesthetic. Designed in collaboration with researchers, designers and clients, this venue sprouted from the need for more organic space and fun playground for workshopping new ideas, holding events & market research groups. With such thorough consideration put into the psychological effects of the spaces in the venue, it is no surprise that the cool vibes inspire free thought, trust, creativity and a sense of enjoyment that can only come from a truly relaxing environment.

Yes – At The Meadow, we like to keep our pricing pretty straightforward. To do this, our prices include most of the items that you might need for your session – we don’t like to add little charges you weren’t expecting. See below for  current room pricing and fees for the various services.

MEETING & EVENT SPACES INCLUDE:

THE BOARDROOM

This is the largest group room, featuring a hand-made board table made from reclaimed basketball court, plenty of space for breaking out into smaller groups and lovely high ceilings. The most traditional of all of our spaces, The Boardroom is framed by the beautiful original brick archways of our Victorian space and towering tree-filled windows. The design of the space takes inspiration from a naturalist’s study, drawing on themes of exploration and discovery.

THE GARDEN ROOM

Perfect for more intimate and creative working groups, featuring a spread of comfortable couches and arm chairs, soft lights and warm furnishings. This space has been specifically designed to encourage sharing, feeling like you’re more at home in your lounge room than participating in a group.

Double doors open into a contemporary and comfortable lounge setting inspired by the colours and textures of the forest floor. The low settings and dappled light promote relaxation and comfort, a feeling of retreat from the day-to-day.

THE PATIO

The Patio is a large, bright group and workshop space, with heaps of natural light streaming through original 1880s double archway doors. Featuring a large, square table and plenty of space to display materials, this room is perfect for keeping the energy up.

The Patio brings a little of the outdoors indoors, with exposed brick walls, plants, grassy rugs and charming domestic touches to give the feel of a secret garden amidst the bustle of the city.

8 (boardroom style)

THE COMMON

The Meadow Common is our welcoming, warm and versatile space that brings the entire Meadow together.

This stunning main area is suitable for everything from creative workshops (for up to 45 participants), corporate events and ‘away days’, functions and events – or even just a pristine contemporary working space. It also doubles as a fresh and welcoming space where respondents are greeted for their sessions. Character-filled archways, high ceilings and leaf-filled windows are the main features in this sun-drenched open creative space. The room has been styled to create a clean, tranquil feel of a clearing in the forest.
