Kittyhawk is a French restaurant and cocktail bar with amazing food and exceptional cocktails. The venue is designed around the Liberation of Paris in 1944 and brings an old world charm to a beautifully curated experience in the heart of the Sydney CBD.
Kittyhawk offers a contemporary French restaurant menu. From graze-able cheese plates and charcuterie boards to steak-frites , there’s something to satisfy any hunger. A canapés menu is also available for functions.
There are a number of function spaces available. The Conservatory is a sun-filled room at the front of Kittyhawk main bar – easily customised for seated or cocktail-style affairs. It’s semi-private and conveniently located right next to the bar, so you can quickly replenish your cocktail and get back to lazing by the French windows (which can be opened to let in the breeze).The Officers’ Mess is a totally exclusive room, accessible by your own private lift. You’ll have your own bar, bartender and wait staff and the room is yours to decorate and customise as you please. You can move the furniture around, or remove it completely and hire in your own.
The entire Kittyhawk venue can also be hired out and, if you combine this with The Officers’ Mess, you have a capacity of 350 across two levels.

Yes, a venue hire + minimum spend applies for all event spaces.

Yes, for some events, there will be a security guard charge and a service charge. Staffing fees don’t generally apply

CAN UNDERAGE GUEST ATTEND EVENTS? ARE THERE ANY RULES / RESTRICTIONS AROUND THIS?
Yes – allowed with prior consent in The Officers’ Mess and for Kittyhawk exclusive hire. Also allowed with prior consent in other spaces but minors must remain supervised at all times and in their designated seats/areas.
CAN GUESTS STYLE / DECORATE THE EVENT SPACE?
Yes – but only in the private function spaces (The Officers’ Mess and Kittyhawk exclusive hire). Some small table decorations are allowed in the Conservatory when semi-private.
DOES THE VENUE SET UP FURNITURE?
Yes, the venue events team can set up the onsite furniture

Cocktail bar and restaurant, cocktail-style events or table and banquette seating.
IS THERE AUDIO VISUAL (AV)?
Yes – we have handheld wired and wireless mics, TV screens and a projector and screen. Other AV can be hired in at a cost.

Generally, 50% to confirm the space. For weddings, in most cases, 25% and remaining 25% 8 weeks out from event.
MEETING & EVENT SPACES INCLUDE:
The Lounge is perfect for cocktail parties or intimate dinners, where you don’t need a private space. Relax in this elevated area in one of our booths, or in a cosy corner and let us do all the work for you.
After something a bit smaller?
The Little Lounge is an area within The Lounge which is perfect for groups of 20 or less who would prefer to stand and mingle. This space is fully serviced by our staff, so your guests don’t have to go to the bar.
The Cockpit is a hidden nook in the far end of our lounge which suits groups up to 25 guests. This space is usually set with low tables, but we can easily change this to hightop tables to accomodate standing groups. This area is fully serviced, so guests don’t have to go to the bar.

Soak up all the sun’s rays in this semi-private spot, within Kittyhawk main bar. If it’s a sunny day, we can open the windows so you feel the breeze.
For speedy service, you will be assigned your own section of the bar although table service can be organised with enough notice. The low tables can also be replaced with cocktail tables, if your group would prefer to stand and mingle.
This space is suitable for groups of up to 100 people, where total privacy isn’t required.

THE OFFICERS MESS
For those who enjoy their privacy, this is a totally exclusive level with access via your own private lift. You’ll have your own bathrooms and your own bar and wait staff and the room furniture can be adjusted to suit a variety of configurations, including seated and cocktail style events.
The Officers’ Mess is licensed for up to 175 guests. The room’s versatility means groups of all sizes can be accommodated, from large cocktail parties to intimate private dinners or lunches.
As this space is totally private, you’re welcome to organise your own entertainment, be it a band, a DJ or simply your favourite Spotify playlist. You also have access to the music playing downstairs in Kittyhawk main bar.

THE WHOLE VENUE
